Working Barn Fire

Just before 3PM Station 48 was alerted for a possible barn fire at the 200 block of John Hurd Rd. Engine 48-4 responded under the direction of Assistant Chief C Clough to find a 100 by 60 barn fully involved. Engine 4 laid 1200' of supply line, and was supplied by tanker 48-5. Multiple handlines were placed in service, and the fire was brought under control in 3 hours. Stations 50, 41, 55, 600, & 700 all assisted on the alarm.
