Robert Stubbs

Robert Lee Stubbs, “Bob” passed away February 7, 2021 surrounded by his wife and faithful companions.  Bob was born October 11, 1945 in Felton, Del., the son of William Jr and Dorothy Stubbs.

Bob is a 1963 graduate of Felton High School who later served in the National Guard.  He worked prior to retirement at Diamond Motor Sports for 43 years.  He was the first employee of Warren Price.  He loved to repair motorcycles though he was the go to guy to fix most anything.  He enjoyed having a large garden every year and sharing the bounty.  Bob was an excellent woodworker building many cabinets, conference tables, sales counters and anything people requested as well as doing repairs.  His favorite thing to do since becoming a Pop Pop was spending time with his granddaughters.  He will be missed by many.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two sisters, Sandy Stubbs and Frances “Minnie” Downes.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda; his daughter, Bianca; his granddaughters, Adalyn and Luna; his siblings, Ruth Ann Wothers and William “Bill” Stubbs (Diane); as well as his childhood friends, Paul Chambers and Etzel Darling; his dog, Princess; extended family and many good friends.

Bob joined the Felton Community Fire Company in June 1962.  Since that time he became a Life member and in 2012 received his 50 year member award.  In 1996 he served on the FCFC BoD.  The podium that the fire company uses today was built by Bob.  His wife, Linda, is a Life member of the FCFC Auxiliary.  Bob’s brother, Bill Stubbs, is a 50+ year member of the FCFC.
