Earlier this evening we welcomed home Firefighter Jeff DeCarlo Jr. Jeff was injured last Saturday while operating at a chicken house fire, and has been hospitalized since. FCFC and the DeCarlo Family want to thank everyone for their support.

During the annual Kent County Volunteer Firefighter's Association Appreciation Banquet, our very own Felton Community Fire Company Auxilary Lifetime Member Charlotte Gingerich was awarded as the 2013 Woman of the Year!!

Horse Rescue
February 14, 2014
Friday, February 14th at 15:13 hours Station 48 was alerted to assist with a horse that had fallen into a swimming pool. Incident Command requested the Kent County Special Operations Team shortly after the initial dispatch. Most of the pool water was drained then a ramp was built and placed down into the pool. The horse was able to safely walk out of the pool on it's own. Incident was placed under control at 16:38 hours. The SPCA and Chambers towing also responded.
