Overturned Truck Sandtown Rd
Friday, July 11, 2014

Around 05:35 this morning Station 48 was alerted for a truck into a ditch leaking an unknown substance. 48 units arrived to find a 6 wheel tank truck that had rolled over, leaking a water based tack that is used when laying asphalt. The driver of the truck refused treatment, and the cause of the incident is under investigation by Delaware State Police. Sandtown Rd between Amsterdam Rd and Chandlers Rd has remained closed throughout much of the day while the incident is being cleaned up.
